Our wonderful facility and staff have extensive experience in providing audio-visual equipment technical assistance, a wide choice of room layouts, and can suggest a variety of creative activities and tours for delegates and spouses! You’ll find the technology is magnificent, and the space is beautiful, functional, and flexible.

CONFERENCE SITE/HOTELS

The Special Events Complex has a multitude of facilities available for your conference needs. The “star” of the complex is the State-of-the-art Killeen Civic and Conference Center. (KCCC) This magnificent 64,000 square foot facility is fully Internet capable with built in projectors, large screens for easy viewing, and a multitude of additional amenities.

Full-service, Shilo Inn and Suites is located right next door. Shilo has 160 large suites, additional meeting space, a first class restaurant, indoor pool and fitness center and free internet. Killeen has over 2500 rooms with almost 1000 within a five minute drive from the Convention Center! The Killeen Convention & Visitors Bureau will send lead sheets to all hotels and return to the committee for selection, as well as provide convention servicing during your event.

You’ll find first class meeting space with plenty of rooms for general sessions, meals and multiple break-out rooms for classes at the Conference Center.

The Conference Center is fully A.D.A. compliant and equipped with numerous flexible spaces. The front or side foyers allow plenty of space for registration or refreshment breaks. Free parking is available for as many as 1500 vehicles. A full loading dock with exhibitor storage space is available at no extra charge. An adjacent Exhibition Hall is available if needed for evening functions or large equipment displays. For outdoor fun, a rodeo arena is also located at the complex!

CENTRALLY LOCATED

Killeen is easily accessible by highway from IH-35 to US190 or SH195. Arrow Trailways has a local office and buses may be rented for tours. The new Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport has over 36 flights daily, with service by American Airlines, Continental, Houston, or Delta

AREA ATTRACTIONS

The Central Texas area has a wide variety of entertainment venues to choose from. Whether it is touring the world’s largest military installation with awesome fighting power and two fine military museums, enjoying the Vive Les Arts Theatre Located next door to the conference center, or taking one of many of our offered tours you can rest assure that we will provide your group with plenty of options for entertainment.

REGISTRATION AND BUREAU SERVICES

The Killeen Convention & Visitors Bureau is ready to roll out the red carpet for your convention needs. Registration service on-site will be provided with customized name badges. “Goodie Bags” will be provided to all delegates and exhibitors. Suggested spouse and children’s activities are coordinated complimentary, with minimal fees for transportation, meals and admission fees. Convention center staff will be available to accompany tours, give directions and assistance during the entire event. Publicity assistance, meeting planning assistance and conference pre-mailer are all complimentary!
